Welcome and introductions

Why do the best-packaged ideas win, not the best ideas?

What’s the point?

The idea behind PowerPoint is to make a powerful point.

How to present better

What makes a good presentation? What do we get out of them and what makes them work?

Sharpen your point

Find out the point of every slide, and how to turn a label into a headline.

Headline and evidence

Learn how to combine your headline with evidence and what type of evidence works best.

Words and pictures

How to combine words and pictures into a powerful combination.

Be you

Understand which Presenter Type you are and how that affects the way you present.

How to use the structure of your deck to help you, and the audience, navigate through your presentation.

Types of deck

Learn what types of deck work for different situations and different audiences.

The workshop is highly interactive and tailored to your needs. Participants may be asked to submit content ahead of time. A subset of these are chosen to discuss in small groups. This workshop is part of fassforward’s Communication Series.

Your Challenge:

“I don’t communicate in a persuasive or convincing way.”

We’re told there is one right way to present – 3 bullets on a slide, 1 slide per minute, don’t fidget. We create presentations without thinking about our audience or what we want to achieve. This is a path to a one-sided monologue and death by PowerPoint.

In the one-day Presenting Better workshop, learn the basic building blocks of presentations. Build off of your natural presentation strengths. Overcome your weaknesses and gain buy-in from your audience.

At the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Create and deliver effective, impactful presentations.

  • Give an engaging presentation people understand and remember.

  • Be an effective communicator, make clearer decisions, and present pitches that win business.

Professional skills gained:

  • Presentations

  • Influence

  • Informal Leadership

Communicate and persuade with confidence and impact.

We’re always open to a conversation and would love to hear from you.
