Prior to joining the fassforward team, Steve spent the first 25 years of his career in advertising. He worked with a long string of blue-chip brands and became the president of three NYC agencies. Highlights include his iconic “can you hear me now?” work for Verizon which enjoys a star on The Advertising Walk of Fame, making a baby throw up on the Super Bowl for E*Trade and leading the successful turnaround of the world’s 4th largest agency network, Grey. From there, Steve decided to change chairs and move to the client-side. He worked with private equity to buy and sell a series of companies, acting as the CMO for each, restructuring go-to-market propositions and redirecting marketing investment. He joined fassforward in November 2018.


Steve was a Division 1 athlete at Youngstown State University where he received his B.A. in English. He and his wife of 31 years have two sons, Hudson and Carter.
